Which? responds to the CAA's letter to airlines addressing fuel shortages and cancellations

Rory Boland, Editor of Which? Travel said:
“Given the frequency with which some airlines ignore the law over cancellations and delays, it's unsurprising that the CAA has issued a letter reminding them of their obligations.
“If cancellations do occur, refund and rebooking processes must be clear, efficient, and transparent, while customer service channels should be properly staffed to cope with higher demand.”
“Airlines have repeatedly reassured passengers that flights will take place as normal this summer, so it's right that if they do later cancel flights at the last minute they will pay a penalty by compensating passengers who may be out of pocket for their holiday.”
