Which? responds to the Government's consultation following botched insulation schemes

1 min read

Sue Davies, Which? Head of Consumer Protection Policy, said:

“Stronger consumer protections are urgently needed to restore trust after the horrendous impact of some past insulation schemes and to support the UK’s switch to low carbon heating.

“Our research shows that many homeowners are interested in solar panels and heat pumps, but they need clear advice and strong protections to trust technology that is often costly and unfamiliar.

“The government must ensure consumers have the confidence to make home energy improvements. This means ensuring installers are qualified and reliable and that if anything goes wrong it can be put right quickly and without any additional cost.”
