Which? responds to the launch of the government's energy saving campaign

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:
"The government's energy saving campaign is a step in the right direction but it's really important to remember that every home's energy usage and efficiency is different. "For those looking to reduce their bills, it's worth considering your own home and how best you might be able to make savings. If your home leaks a lot of heat then draught proofing and insulation could make a big improvement, while for some it will be a case of using their heating and electrical appliances more efficiently. For people who can't safely cut their heating usage back any further turning their combi boiler flow temperature down can be a good way to save without compromising on the temperature of your home. "As well as offering these quick solutions, with energy bills expected to remain high for some time, the government should do more to help people improve their home's long term energy efficiency by supporting consumers who may struggle with the cost of measures such as insulation which can make a big difference to household bills."
ENDSNotes to editors- Which? has launched a new campaign, calling on businesses in three key sectors - supermarkets, telecoms and energy - to do more to help consumers through the cost of living crisis. See more: here.
