Which? responds to the news almost nine in 10 are worried about energy prices

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:
"With average energy bills set to hit over £3,500 in October, it is unsurprising that the vast majority of consumers are worried about these eye watering price rises."The government must now increase the Energy Bills Support Scheme by at least 150 per cent or risk pushing millions of households into financial distress this winter.
"The government and regulator must urgently explore proposals to reform retail energy pricing - including the price cap - to ensure that it protects those on lower incomes and provides consumers with clear and fair prices in the longer term. They must also rapidly improve support for home insulation - as this will help to reduce people's energy costs for years to come."
