Which? responds to the news that Openreach has hit the halfway point in its bid to connect 25 million premises to ultrafast broadband

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said: 

"A fast and reliable internet connection is essential to modern life so it's positive that Openreach is on track to expand ultrafast full fibre broadband to 25 million premises in the UK.

"However, it's important that people are encouraged to take advantage of these new connections, which are more reliable and offer faster speeds. Better information about the benefits, measures to improve the language used to describe these services, along with targeted voucher and discount schemes, will help to address the barriers preventing consumers from benefiting from better connections.”
