Which? responds to the Scottish Government's update on reforming Energy Performance Certificates
Sue Davies, Which? Head of Consumer Protection Policy, said:
“Our research has shown that Energy Performance Certificates are not working for consumers - the information they provide is too often inaccurate, out of date or difficult to understand.
“The Scottish Government’s reform plans are a step in the right direction to address these issues with clearer rating systems, practical information for consumers and measures to improve accuracy and reliability.
“With many households worrying about energy bills and the UK facing a big challenge to transition to low-carbon heating, this is a timely move to support consumers who want to save money and improve their home’s energy efficiency.”
