Which? responds to warnings two million could be cut off from gas and electricity this winter

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:

"It's hugely concerning that more than two million people could be cut off from their gas and electricity this winter because they can't afford their bills. Energy debt has risen hugely during the cost of living crisis and prices are predicted to be high until the end of the decade.

"Lower income households with unavoidably higher usage - such as families with young children - are more likely to be left in the cold this winter and beyond.

"The government needs to set out its plans to deal with the issue urgently."
