Which? response as European consumer groups take action against Google for pushing users towards its surveillance system

1 min read
Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said: "Google should not be pushing consumers to sacrifice their privacy and face constant surveillance simply for setting up an account. Our own research has shown that people want to feel more in control over how their data is collected, and that's why it's vital that any misleading tactics are stamped out. "It is positive that BEUC has raised these complaints and the relevant authorities must now investigate these issues thoroughly and swiftly, ensuring that Google is held to account if wrongdoing is found."
