The FireAngel Pro HT-230 is a mains-powered heat alarm designed to detect rapid rises in temperature, rather than smoke in the air. This makes it a good choice for kitchens and garages where smoke from cooking or fumes from vehicles could trigger false alerts in a traditional smoke alarm. It’s a linkable alarm that can be paired with the Fire Angel Pro WST-230, WHT-230, ST-230 and HT-230 smoke alarms, making it suitable for homes in Scotland when the smoke and heat alarm law changes in 2022. If you wish, you can test and manage this model from your phone or smart device, using the FireAngel Connected App. It comes with a two-year warranty and has a sealed battery for back-up if the mains fails, which is designed to last for the 10-year life of the alarm. But how well does it detect heat rises? We sent it to our test lab to find out. Read on for our full review of this Fire Angel smoke alarm.
