Indesit washing machines are made by American corporation Whirlpool, which also makes Hotpoint appliances.

Below, you can find out all you need to know if you're thinking of buying an Indesit washing machine. This includes how Indesit models score in our reviews and how reliable they are.

We've been reviewing washing machines for years, and our unique and rigorous tests find out which models work best at different temperatures, so you can find the one that's the best for you. Over the years, we've unearthed plenty of dodgy machines and found out a few key things buyers need to know before they buy an Indesit.

All the information you'll find here has been independently researched – we buy the Indesit washing machines we test ourselves and we run our own surveys to find out what owners really think of their machines.

How much do Indesit washing machines cost?

Most Indesit washing machines cost less than £300, making the brand one of the most affordable on the market.

On average, Indesit models cost £267, but range from as little as £200 for basic freestanding models up to £420 for more advanced built-in models.

Choosing the right Indesit washing machine for you

As with most brands, Indesit mainly produces freestanding washing machines. However, it also offers several built-in models for those looking for a washing machine to sit behind a cupboard door - these do cost more though.

Cheaper Indesit washing machines tend to come with poor energy labels, smaller drums and slow 1,200rpm spin speeds. Move up through the prices, and you'll find Indesit models with larger drums, fast 1,600rpm spin speeds and better ratings for energy.

Indesit washing machines are typically available in white or silver, although it is possible to find some in black.

Indesit washing machine faults
