Which? responds to the CMA launching investigations into Virgin Atlantic, Trainline and RED Driving School

Sue Davies, Head of Consumer Rights Policy at Which?, said:

"Which? has repeatedly exposed dodgy business practices like drip pricing, where the full price is not shown upfront, so it's absolutely right that the regulator is investigating this issue. The CMA shouldn’t hesitate to use its new consumer enforcement powers to fine any firms that have broken the rules - especially after each firm has already received a warning advisory letter.

“Following comments made by the Prime Minister last week that unfair pricing practices have no place in our economy, this move sends a clear message to other businesses to follow the rules.

“At a time when household budgets are under strain, consumers must have confidence that businesses aren't there to rip them off and that the regulator is willing to step in to protect their rights."
