Which? responds to the news that more homes will be built with gigabit connections

Rocio Concha, Director of Policy and Advocacy, said: 

“A fast and reliable internet connection is essential to modern life so it’s vital that as many households as possible can access gigabit-capable broadband – wherever they are in the country.

“While it’s encouraging to see more homes will be built with gigabit connections, awareness of the benefits of gigabit remains low. Better information about the benefits, measures to improve the language used to describe these services, along with targeted voucher and discount schemes, will help to address the barriers preventing consumers from benefiting from better connections.”
