Jane Matrix Light 2 Isofix review
Product alert
This child car seat has passed the regulatory tests required by ECE R44/04 to be sold as suitable for children from birth to 13kg. In our own more rigorous tests it achieved a good overall safety rating when used in both formats (carrycot and car seat) and secured both ways (Isofix and adult seat belt). But, the seat is really difficult to connect to the Isofix base; there's a high risk it could be done incorrectly which means that we've had to limit the total score overall for this format, and it drops just below our Don't Buy threshold of 45%.

The Jane Matrix Light car seat is an innovative, multifunctional car seat. It's the first carrycot to be used with an Isofix base, creating a 'lie-flat' position for your baby to travel in. Car seat experts say this is the best position for newborns and young babies to be in - not only for comfort, but also to help their breathing. We've made this seat a Don't Buy. Read our safety alert for more information on the reasons why.
