How we test battery life overall

Our battery tests cover light (minimum power and used on hard flooring) and heavy use (maximum power and used on carpet) scenarios. Our tests also assess how long it takes to fully recharge the vacuum battery. Cleaning on minimum power is based on flat hard floors. We also assess how well the vacuum cleans on minimum power - 1 star means that the cordless vacuum is almost ineffective on its minimum setting, whereas 5 star means you will get excellent results.

A great cordless vacuum cleaner can suck it all up in less than 20 seconds, the worst leave hair behind even after two minutes of continuous cleaning.

The more stars, the closer the floorhead gets to the edges.
