The cost of buying new laser toner could potentially run into hundreds of pounds a year, so if you own a laser printer you'll want to get the best possible deal when you restock your supply. Plus you'll want to know the toner you're buying is worth the money.

Based on our survey of real laser toner customers, below are the best online retailers, rated for service, value for money and the range of laser toner they offer. Further down, see the best laser toner brands that match high-quality prints with excellent value for money.

Looking to buy a new printer and cut your running costs? We reveal the best cheap printers to buy and run.

Best laser toner brands

Big brand names tend to dominate the toner market – most laser printer users buy branded toner because the third-party choice is more limited. However, you can find compatible and remanufactured toner cartridges, sometimes at a fraction of the price of original alternatives.

If you're worried about having problems with third-party toner, in our survey 85% of people never experienced any issues at all with the best-rated compatible toner supplier.

Even if there were an issue, the company offers a money-back guarantee on all cartridges it sells. It also has a lifetime printer guarantee for its own-brand cartridges. If anything goes wrong, it'll cover the cost of repairing your printer, and replace it if need be.
