Hisense may be known for its cheaper TVs that undercut bigger brands, such as LG and Samsung, but it has a fair few high-end sets of its own, with prices to match. The 55-inch 55U7Q has a fancy MiniLED backlight, which packs in far more tiny bulbs that should help the TV handle contrast better. High-end gaming features is the other headline here, with a 144Hz screen, that should make games look incredibly smooth. Does it look and sound good, though, or should Hisense stick with cheaper TVs? Picture quality tests include broadcast 1080i high-definition TV, Freeview, Freeview HD, viewing angle and the stability of motion in fast action scenes. We also test for 4K Ultra HD and HDR if the TV can support these pictures.
