LG 65UN71006LB review

Key features

  • LCD
  • 4K Ultra-HD

65-inch sets are more expensive than smaller models (shocker) so anyone looking for one is bound to be drawn to the cheaper ranges where you can buy a big-screen set for the same price as a smaller one from a more advanced series. Is that a good idea or are you sacrificing quality for screen size? Our review of the entry-level 4K 65UN7100PLB has the answer.

Included in our expert review
  • Pros and cons
  • What is it?
  • What’s the picture quality like?
  • HDR does increase the breadth of contrast, but the screen really doesn’t need to get any darker. While the range goes further, it doesn’t make the blacks feel any more solid, we still saw too many foggy greys.
  • What about the sound?
  • What’s it like to use?
  • We like the electronic programme guide (EPG), it’s quick, straightforward and easy to customise. You can rearrange channels and set favourites.
  • Should I buy it?
