Now TV Sky Cinema Pass review
Article 5 of 7
The Now TV Cinema Pass gives you access to more than 1,000 films, with 30 new titles added every month. You can also stream 11 live Sky Cinema channels, including Sky Cinema Disney.
Which? verdict: The best choice for movie buffs interested in a good mix of modern and classic films. According to our survey, the Now TV Cinema Pass regularly refreshes with new things to watch.
What does the Now TV Cinema Pass include?
The Cinema Pass is for fans of film - it offers over 1000 films on demand. While it also includes 11 channels, the Now TV Cinema Pass does not include the same channels on offer with the Entertainment Pass - the Cinema Pass includes Sky Cinema channels, such as Sky Cinema Family and Sky Cinema Premiere, while the Entertainment Pass includes popular TV channels such as Sky Atlantic and FOX. So why did Now TV Cinema pass come out on top of our survey? We've rounded up its pros and cons:
Pros: While Netflix and Amazon offer a combination of TV and film, the Cinema Pass is solely dedicated to the silver screen - so it’s unsurprising that it was rated the best service for movies in our survey. At the time of our research, it offered 66 of IMDB’s 250 top-rated films, and 22 titles found in the UK top 100 DVD chart - considerably more than its rivals. Our survey revealed that it was the service with the most satisfied customers, with 89% telling us they were happy with it. The films on offer span decades and genres, from the latest Bond, to classics such as The Godfather and The Bridge on the River Kwai.
Cons: Unlike Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, Now TV Cinema Pass just offers films and no TV. That means you'll need to sign up to another service if you want to watch hit TV shows. You can also only have it registered on four devices at once, which can be restrictive for large households.
Popular films: Black Panther, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Spectre, The Martian
