Pyronix burglar alarms review
Pyronix offers a wide range of burglar alarm systems, including wired and wireless alarms, as well as smart home security.
Unfortunately in our 2019 survey of 1,398 burglar alarm owners, we didn't get a large enough sample size to include Pyronix in our full results table.
A brand must be rated by at least 30 respondents to be included. While Pyronix didn't meet the threshold this year, it did in our 2017 survey.
Pyronix home security
Wired and wireless alarm systems
Pyronix has a wide range of alarms, for both homes and businesses. It sells both wired and wireless alarms, as well as hybrid versions that are a combination of both.
Some alarms come with key fobs/tags, which allow you to set and turn off the alarm with a wireless key, so you don't need to input a pin.
All of its alarms also allow for remote diagnosis, where an engineer can check any problems so they can decide whether a home visit is required.
Dialler and smart alarms
Pyronix has a range of dialler and smart alarms that you can control and monitor remotely from your smartphone or tablet using the HomeControl+ app.
This means they can alert you, wherever you are in the world, if there is an issue at home. There are a few different smart security systems that allow you to do this - take a look at our advice for more information.
Pyronix's speech dialler alarms also allow you to listen in to your home and talk back - useful if you've had an alert and want to hear what's going on and scare off an intruder.
Security camera, smoke alarms and sensors
With some of Pyronix's smart alarms there are options for video streaming, so you can watch what is going on at home. Some also have safety devices, such as smoke sensors, CO detectors and panic buttons.
With some of its motion detectors, you can adjust the sensitivity depending on where it sits, which is particularly useful if you have pets. Its anti-mask detectors can detect if someone is trying to cover up the sensors, and will set the alarm off.
