Response ERA offers a range of alarm systems designed for self-installation, which are available through retailers such as Amazon and Screwfix.
Unfortunately in our 2019 survey of 1,398 burglar alarm owners, we didn't get a large enough sample size to include Response in our full results table.
A brand must be rated by at least 30 respondents to be included. While Response didn't meet the threshold this year, it was included in our 2017 survey.
Response (also called Response Electronics and Response ERA) is part of ERA Home Security and sells DIY alarm systems that are designed for self-installation. They are readily available in hardware stores and through online retailers, such as Amazon, Argos and Screwfix.
You can buy both wired and wireless systems in a range of configurations, depending on the size of your house and its layout.
Among its alarms branded and Response ERA, it sells ERA MiGuard and ERA HomeGuard alarms, which are claimed to be Neighbourhood Watch-approved. Response also sells a range of old Honeywell wireless and wired alarms.
Some of the ERA alarms are speech diallers, which means they can text you when the alarms are triggered. It also has one smart alarm, Home Guard, so can also be controlled from your smartphone or tablet - visit our page to find out more about both types.
You can also buy wireless key fobs/remote controls to set and deactivate your alarm at a distance without the need to key in a number.
Alongside its alarm systems, Response ERA also sells security lights, doorbells and intercom systems. You can also buy sensors to detect water leaks or floods.
Its smart alarm comes with an option to add a security camera, but you can also buy one separately, called Y-Cam.
