This car is subject to a 'stop-drive' recall issued by Citroen/DS's parent company Stellantis in August 2025. This is due to an issue with the airbags exploding in a dangerous manner in the event of a collision, causing injury or even death. While no such explosions have been reported in the UK so far, Stellantis has told owners to stop driving their cars and to check and register their car using its online recall service Owners can also call 0800 917 9285 to get support. Vehicles affected by this recall are the Citroen C3/ DS3 manufactured between 2009 and 2016, and the DS Automobiles DS 3 manufactured between 2016 and 2019 and a further stop drive recall on 2010-2018 Citroen C4s, DS4s and DS5s was issued in August 2025.
