A compact MPV with SUV or crossover-like styling, the Peugeot 3008 (launched in 2009) is intended as an all-purpose family car. It's higher riding than the 308 hatchback and more sporting than the 308 SW estate, but is only a five seater, rather than an all-out people carrier: can it deliver as an all-rounder? How we test comfort and practicality

Comfort and practicality includes how easy it is, or not, to get in and out of the car and the maximum height of occupants. We also measure road, wind and engine noise and assess how well the car deals with bumps from large potholes to jittery surfaces like cobble stones.
