The Hisense 50Q7STUK is a sub-£500 50-inch 4K TV that includes voice controls, easy casting and the brand’s Hi-QLED display technology that it says will give you a ‘rich, vibrant and true to life’ picture. That all sounds pretty tempting, so we wanted to bring this set into our testing laboratory to see how good it actually is. Read our full review to see how it fared.

How we test smart tv features

Energy use
How we test energy use
Based on the power usage when being viewed and in standby and the presence and effectiveness of power-saving features such as a light sensor or radio screen blanking. Power usage can vary massively depending on the type of TV. OLED TVs tend to use less power than LED TVs since they don't have backlights.
