Raw dog food products recalled due to salmonella risk

Dogs Choice UK has recalled some of its frozen raw dog food products over concerns they contain Salmonella.

Salmonella is a bacteria (a foodborne pathogen) which can cause illness in dogs. Infected dogs may not display signs of illness, but symptoms can include diarrhoea.

It could also cause illness in humans via secondary transfer from contact with contaminated surfaces.

This can happen when preparing your dog's food, for example, via kitchen surfaces, dog bowls - or even contact with dog faeces.

Symptoms usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

Read on for a full list of recalled products and what to do if you have bought these products or fed them to your pet.
