Expert review

The third-generation Renault Twingo (2014-2019) is different to previous Twingos - and quite unusual generally. Its engine has been moved to the back, and its rear-wheel drive - a set-up associated more with powerful sports cars than tiny city cars. By moving the engine, Renault says the Twingo is shorter, yet gets more interior space and an improved turning circle. But is it really as practical as claimed? Read on for our full review.
