More than 3,700 bathroom buyers answered our survey to rate popular bathroom companies, including Vitra, Roca, Victorian Plumbing and Ideal Standard.

The company people were happiest with got an impressive customer score of 89%. At the other end of the scale, the least favoured brand got 61%.

As well as asking people about their bathroom as a whole, we also asked them to rate individual fixtures – sink, taps, bath, shower enclosure and toilet – for durability and quality. One company got a dreadful one-star rating and a lot of two stars (five is the maximum).

Which? members can log in to unlock the tables below and see how Ideal Standard's bathrooms were rated overall and for individual fixtures. You can also read comments from Ideal Standard bathroom owners.

Ideal Standard is a high-end bathroom brand that only sells its products through other bathroom retailers, including national chains and local independents.

It has a website where you can view all of its products, find out where each is stocked and download a brochure. Ideal Standard owns the brand Armitage Shanks, which also features in our table.

Ideal Standard bathrooms and showers

The majority of Ideal Standard's fixtures are modern, although it does have a couple of more traditional designs. It also has a variety of taps – all different types and styles – and shower mixers and heads, all of which are own-branded.

You can see how other well-known shower brands were rated by their customers by visiting our dedicated guide, and find out what happened when we tested electric showers,

Ideal Standard bathroom furniture

Ideal Standard only sells vanity units that wrap around fixtures, such as the sink and toilet. When we asked people in our survey to rate their bathroom furniture, we didn't get enough responses to give Ideal Standard a star rating.

You can see how other companies, such as Victoria Plum, Bathstore, Villeroy & Boch and Roca, fared by visiting our bathroom furniture page.

Ideal Standard accessories and fittings

Fixed towel rails, toilet roll holders, shower baskets, soap dispensers and a range of other modern accessories are available from Ideal Standard. It doesn't sell bathroom flooring or tiles.
