Best fridge freezer deals for June

The fridge freezers we've selected here are all decent models that scored reasonably well in our tests. We only recommend appliances with average or above-average scores for energy efficiency, because we don't consider models with excessively high running costs for their size and type to be genuine bargains.

Our fridge freezer running costs tool can help you find an efficient model.

You'll have to read our reviews to find out which of the models we've recommended are Best Buys – the very best on test.

Our pick: Samsung RB33B610EWW

* Average price in the past six months: £490.99. Cheapest price in the past six months: £339

Samsung RB33B610EWW
  • Freestanding
  • Frost-free freezer
  • White finish

We like: Impressive climate stability

We don’t like: Some areas of the fridge can be tricky to access when cleaning

Samsung claims that its SpaceMax feature makes the walls slimmer, so a regular-size fridge on the outside has a larger capacity inside. We managed to fit in 13 carrier bags of food, but only one of the fridge shelves and one of the door racks can be height adjusted to give you more flexibility.

There are no super-cool or fast-freeze settings to speed things up when adding room-temperature items to this model.

A fridge door alarm lets you know if it’s left open by mistake, although there’s no corresponding alarm on the freezer section.

Read our full Samsung RB33B610EWW review to find out how good it is at keeping your food cool.

* Average price in the past six months: £511. Cheapest price in the past six months: £399

LG GBM21HSADH

  • Freestanding
  • Frost-free freezer
  • Silver finish

We like: It's fairly quiet

We don’t like: The fridge is hard to clean in places

This tall fridge freezer has a four-zone fridge at the top and three large-capacity drawers in the freezer section below. There’s also a special FreshZone drawer that lets you adjust conditions to suit whatever is being stored inside.

We managed to fit 11 supermarket carrier bags of groceries in this model.

But how well does it look after your food, and will it cost a lot to run?

Read our full LG GBM21HSADH review to see how it it performed in the test lab.

LG GBF61BLHEN

* Average price in the last six months: £654. Cheapest price in the past six months: £499

LG GBF61BLHEN fridge freezer
  • Freestanding
  • Frost-free freezer
  • Black

We like: It's quiet

We don't like: There are a few areas where dirt can accumulate

This LG has a super-cool function, designed to cool the fridge compartment rapidly if you add a large batch of room-temperature food. The freezer has an equivalent fast-freeze function.

It's compatible with the LG ThinQ app, which lets you control the temperature and modes such as 'Eco Friendly' and 'Super Cooling' from your smartphone. There's also a door alarm to alert you if the fridge door has been left open by mistake.

There's enough room to fit 12 carrier bags of shopping inside.

Kenwood K2NFMXA23

* Average price in the last six months: £905. Cheapest price in the past six months: £759

Kenwood K2NFMXA23 fridge freezer
  • Freestanding
  • Frost-free freezer
  • Silver

We like: It's extremely quiet

We don't like: There are some ease-of-use niggles with the fridge

This freestanding fridge freezer from Kenwood will accommodate 14 shopping bags of groceries.

The fridge has three shelves, although none of these are adjustable. There’s also a bottle shelf and two drawers at the base. The lowest drawer is for fruit and vegetables – you can adjust the humidity to suit the contents. It also has a super-cool function that should be useful when you put in lots of shopping.

The frost-free freezer has three drawers and a fast-freeze function.

Read our full Kenwood K2NFMXA23 review to see if it impressed enough to be a Best Buy.

Hisense RB5K330GSFC

* Average price in the past six months: £1,065. Cheapest price in the past six months: £799

Hisense RB5K330GSFC fridge freezer
  • Freestanding
  • Frost-free freezer
  • Black finish

We like: Excellent climate stability

We don’t like: Inflexible shelf positioning

This is a black freestanding fridge freezer positioned at the higher end of the Hisense range. The fridge and freezer space is split 65/35. The fridge has four shelves, three door racks and two drawers, while the freezer below has three drawers.

With a depth of 60cm, Hisense claims this fridge freezer is designed to ‘fit into almost any kitchen space without compromising your overall kitchen design’. That could be handy if you have a small kitchen.

The fast-freeze function speeds up the freezing process by lowering the temperature to -28°C and circulating cold air. This helps maximise the preservation of vitamins and nutrients in food. The fridge has a matching super-cool function.

Integrated fridge freezer deals

Hotpoint HTC18 T112 UK

* Average price in the last six months: £549. Cheapest price in the past six months: £499

Hotpoint HTC18 T112 UK
  • Integrated
  • Frost-free freezer
  • Silver

We like:  Both fridge and freezer are very powerful

We don't like: The fridge is a pain to clean

This smaller-capacity integrated fridge freezer is designed to sit behind a panel or door that matches your kitchen decor. It's a frost-free model, so the freezer section should never ice up. It has sliding door hinges, and its doors can be reversed to help it fit into your floor plan.

There are fast-freeze and super-cool functions – handy if you have a large amount of new room-temperature food to store – plus door alarms on both the fridge and freezer sections to alert you if you leave one open. It hasn’t got the largest capacity, though – we were only able to fit a total of eight carrier bags of food inside.

To discover if there are any drawbacks to this fridge freezer, read our full Hotpoint HTC18 T112 UK review.

Samsung BRB26705DWW

Samsung BRB26705DWW fridge freezer
  • Integrated
  • Frost-free freezer
  • White

We like: It's easy to use and quick to clean

We don't like: We struggled to fit a large bottle in the bottom door rack

This is a tall integrated fridge freezer that comes with a sliding door kit for mounting a door that blends in with the rest of your kitchen decor.

There’s room for nine carrier bags of food inside, divided between five shelves, six door racks, a chiller drawer and a salad crisper in the fridge; and two drawers and a shallow tray in the freezer.

You can choose whether to use its multi-temperature zone as a fridge or freezer – useful if you need to stock up for a party – and you’ll also find fast-freeze and quick-cool modes.

Our full Samsung BRB26705DWW review reveals if there are any niggles to note before you buy.

Liebherr ICBNE 5123

* Average price in the last six months: £1,728. Cheapest price in the past six months: £599

Liebherr ICBNE 5123 fridge freezer
  • Integrated
  • Frost-free freezer
  • White

We like: It's easy to clean

We don't like: The control panel menus aren't very intuitive

This Liebherr is a smaller-sized integrated fridge freezer that’s frost-free, with doors that can be reversed to help it fit into your kitchen’s floorplan.

We were able to fit nine carrier bags of food inside and found that several of the fridge shelves and door racks can be adjusted to help accommodate your shopping.

It runs very quietly, so it shouldn't disturb you if your kitchen table doubles up as your office desk.

Read more about this fridge freezer's features and what we thought of them in our full Liebherr ICBNE 5123 review.

Neff KI7863DD0G

* Average price in the last six months: £1,111. Cheapest price in the past six months: £1,039

Neff KI7863DD0G fridge freezer
  • Integrated
  • Frost-free freezer
  • White

We like: The lighting is good

We don't like: The freezer drawers could slide more smoothly

Features include fast-freeze and super-cool, audible door alarms, and a high-temperature alarm for the freezer. The fridge has a chiller compartment that’s colder than the rest of the interior and hovers at around zero degrees, which should help keep meat and fish fresher for longer.

We managed to fit six carrier bags of food into the fridge, with just over two more in the freezer.

American-style fridge freezer deals

LG GSXE90BSAD

* Average price in the last six months: £1,762.37. Cheapest price in the past six months: £1,299

LG GSXE90BSAD
  • American
  • Frost-free freezer
  • Steel coloured

We like: The door-in-door system is genuinely useful

We don't like: Cleaning the fridge is a pain

This American-style fridge freezer from LG is a wi-fi enabled appliance that can be controlled from your smartphone using the LG ThinQ app. It's a side-by-side model with a 65/35 split between the fridge and freezer.

The top of the fridge has a glass InstaView panel – tap it twice to see what’s inside. Thanks to Door-in-Door, you don't have to open the main door when looking for a snack or drink. Instead, using a button concealed under the InstaView panel, you can open just the top compartment of the fridge, cutting down on cold-air loss from the fridge.

The freezer door has a water dispenser that also serves crushed and cubed ice. It needs to be plumbed into the mains water supply.

When it was first released, this was one of the most expensive fridge-freezers we'd tested at over £2,000, but fortunately it's on sale right now.

To see if this American style fridge freezer is worth buying, read our LG GSXE90BSAD review.

How to spot a good deal on a fridge freezer

Fran Roberts-Thornton Which? fridge freezer expert says:

Fran
  • Whether it's on sale or not, a fridge freezer is a significant purchase that will hopefully last you for years. Be wary of great-sounding deals on fridge freezers that aren't energy efficient, because an electricity-hungry model could end up costing you more in the long run.
  • Don’t be upsold on gimmicks or flashy features that you're not likely to use. Our research proves that manufacturers sometimes prioritise fancy features and settings over cooling or freezing food effectively. Read our reviews to make sure you're buying the best fridge freezer for you.
  • Always check there’s enough space in your kitchen to fit in your fridge freezer. You’ll need at least 5cm all around it for effective ventilation.

Where to find deals on specific fridge freezer brands

Big high street and online retailers such as Amazon, AO, Argos, Currys and John Lewis tend to offer better deals than the manufacturers.

To ensure you choose a model you’re happy with, read our fridge freezer reviews. That way, you’ll avoid picking up a ‘bargain’ that turns out to be a dud.

Haier fridge freezer deals

If you have your heart set on a multi-door or American-style fridge freezer, Haier produces a good range that are widely stocked at stores including AO, Currys and John Lewis. A bigger fridge freezer means a greater outlay, though, so check all the major retailers’ websites to make sure you’re getting a competitive price.

Beko fridge freezer deals

Beko’s range of lower-priced fridge freezers is widely available on the high street and online from stockists, including AO.com, Currys and John Lewis. You can’t buy direct from the brand's own website currently, but if you buy a Beko model elsewhere and register your purchase on the Beko website within 90 days, you can extend the standard one-year guarantee to two years.

Fridgemaster fridge freezer deals

Fridgemaster fridge freezers are already often cheaper than average, so you’ll need to look hard to find a discount. You’ll find the brand at cheaper retailers, including AO, Appliances Direct and Argos.

Samsung fridge freezer deals

It's a brand that may be more commonly associated with TVs than refrigeration, but Samsung has an extensive range of fridge freezers available at high-street and online-only stores, including Amazon, AO, Argos and John Lewis. You can also buy models from the Samsung website, but this is often the most expensive route.

Which fridge freezer features are worth paying extra for?

Beyond the basics, there are a few features worth looking out for:

  • Frost-free freezers stop ice from building up in the freezer compartment, so you never need to defrost them.
  • Alarms on some models let you know if the door's been left open or the temperature has dropped.
  • Quick-chill and fast-freeze functions help to lock in the nutrients, so your food stays fresher for longer.
  • Adjustable door racks help you arrange the door storage to make the best use of the space.
