Philips is fast becoming a leading TV brand with a large range stretching from high-end OLEDs to entry-level LCD TVs. The 55PUS8909 is one of the more basic TVs we’ve seen in 2024 but that doesn’t mean it can’t look and sound good. Picture quality tests include broadcast 1080i high-definition TV, Freeview, Freeview HD, viewing angle and the stability of motion in fast action scenes. We also test for 4K Ultra HD and HDR if the TV can support these pictures.
