Safety alert: Argos Cuggl Mushroom high chair recalled

A high chair on sale at Argos is being recalled as it poses a risk to children, Argos has confirmed.
Testing has found that the folding Cuggl Mushroom high chair, which is an Argos exclusive, could topple over if a child leans sideways in it, potentially injuring them.
Read on for our advice on what to do if you own the Cuggl Mushroom high chair.
What to do if you're affected
If you own the Cuggl Mushroom high chair, you should stop using it immediately. You can identify the chair using its Argos catalogue number, which is 7094143. It's important to note that no other high chair on sale at Argos is affected by this issue.
You can return the potentially dangerous high chair to any Argos store right away for a full refund, with or without the receipt.

Injury-risk high chair still available online
The Cuggl Mushroom High Chair is no longer available to buy from Argos, which exclusively sells Cuggl baby and child products.
However, three days after Argos announced the recall, we found that some third party sellers were still selling the potentially unsafe high chair as new on online marketplaces, including eBay and Amazon Marketplace.
We requested that both retailers urgently remove listings of the affected Cuggl Mushroom High Chair, and we are pleased to say that both have now done so.
A spokesperson from eBay told us: 'Sellers aren't allowed to list items that are have been recalled. These items have been removed and the sellers informed.'

End dangerous products
This is the third safety alert on a baby and child product we've reported on since July 2019.
Our own tests have uncovered safety issues on a range of other baby and child products in recent years, from car seats to stair gates.
Britain's product safety regime is no longer fit for purpose and so we're pushing for urgent reform to stop unsafe products entering our homes.
