Black and Decker has launched several new-and-improved handheld Dustbuster vacuums, aimed at making cleaning much easier. But just how good are they at clearing up everyday mess?

The new Black and Decker Pivot and Flexi handheld vacuums come with lithium-ion batteries, designed to increase run time and reduce charging time. They are on sale in a number of stores including Tesco, Argos, B&Q and Amazon.

Black and Decker Flexi vacuum cleaner

You can buy the new Flexi handheld vacuum with a range of attachments, including a full-length floor extension designed to give it the functionality of a full-sized machine.

The Flexi PD1820LF costs £159.99, has an 18V lithium-ion battery and comes with the floor extension kit.

Other Flexi vacs are available with a range of battery voltages and a variety of attachments – The Flexi 10.8V (PD1020L, £79.99), the Flexi 14.4V (PD1420LP, £99.99) and the Flexi 18V without floor extension kit (PD1820L, £149.99).
