Car reliability check

If you’re considering buying a new or used car, you can now simply and accurately check how reliable it’s likely to be using Which?’s interactive Car Reliability Check.

This unique, free-to-use online tool is powered by the feedback of nearly 50,000 owners, who reported on almost 60,000 cars in the 2015 Which? Car Survey. In all, the tool covers 325 individual models aged up to eight years old, covering all the major brands and car types, from superminis to sports cars.

To discover how reliable your car is – or one you’re interested in buying – simply click the link below and enter the make and model. You’ll be presented with a summary of the car’s most common faults, spanning everything from engine problems to electrical issues. It also tells you what percentage of cars were affected, and the severity of the faults.

The Which? Car Reliability Check also allows you to compare the reliability of your selected model to the best and worst cars in its class, as well the best and worst performing models overall. You can then easily share the results with your friends and family via social media.

Of course, although reliability is a crucial factor when choosing a car, it’s not the only one – to get the complete picture, including unique, accurate mpg data, plus ratings for comfort, practicality and performance, read our in-depth, expert impartial reviews.
