Cordless vacuum cleaner deals
Bosch Unlimited 10 Propower
* Average price in the past six months: £551.26. Cheapest price in the past six months: £479

- Bagless and cordless handstick vacuum cleaner
- 0.5 litre dust capacity
- Weighs 3.9kg
We like: Efficient allergen retention
We don't like: Quite heavy and bulky
This handstick cordless vacuum cleaner from Bosch comes with a range of accessories, including a universal floorhead, crevice nozzle and furniture brush. You can buy the standard Unlimited 10, or this Propower version that increases claimed battery life from 80 to 100 minutes.
The vacuum tube flexes at a hinge so you can get under sofas more easily, and the floorhead has LED lights to illuminate the dirt. It's worth noting that it has a fairly meagre 0.5 dust capacity, however.

The V11 Extra comes with extra attachments, so along with the usual crevice tool, upholstery and furniture nozzle, you'll find a quick-release dusting brush and a tool for vacuuming your mattress. The package also includes a mini turbo brush.

Other features worth pointing out include a 'Slim Fluffy' soft roller floorhead, 'High Torque' cleaner head and mini turbo tool. It also comes with a two-in-one crevice and upholstery nozzle, a separate crevice tool and a dusting brush.

There's a detachable handheld unit and a host of nozzles and heads, including a motorised floor bar, an anti-tangle head for removing pet hair, a furniture and upholstery nozzle, plus a crevice tool. You’ll also find a charging cable that can be used with or without the wall dock.

Numatic Henry Quick HEN.100
* Average price in the past six months: £354.69. Cheapest price in the past six months: £189

- Bagged cordless handstick vacuum cleaner
- 1 litre dust capacity
- Weighs 3.3kg
We like: Cleans well with a full dust container
We don't like: Poor performance on minimum power
This was the first cordless handstick offering from Numatic. The floor nozzle is an electro brush, but this model also comes with a combi tool that doubles up as an upholstery nozzle and a furniture brush.
This is a bagged vacuum, which means the dust pods will have to be regularly replaced. They can hold up to a litre of dust and debris and are made from recycled materials, according to Numatic. Pods are often less messy than a dust container when it comes to emptying, so this might be a good option if you suffer from dust related allergies.

You get dual floor heads: one for general use and one soft roller designed for hard floors. There's also an angle tool and a combi upholstery nozzle/furniture brush. An LCD screen on the handle shows the run time, battery life and any maintenance issues.

Robot vacuum cleaner deals
Shark Matrix Plus 2-in-1 Self-Empty Robot Vacuum & Mop RV2620WAUK
* Average price in the past six months: £438.48. Cheapest price in the past six months: £332.13

- Robot vacuum cleaner
- 0.23 litre dust capacity
We like: Easy to use
We don't like: Bulky
If you're in the market for a robot vacuum cleaner, Shark's Matrix Plus 2-in-1 Self-Empty Robot Vacuum & Mop RV2620WAUK is currently on offer.
It comes with charging and self-empty station, two side brushes and a couple of washable mopping pads. It doesn't take up much space – the unit itself is 9 x 34cm, though the 230ml dust tank will need emptying fairly regularly.
Plus, you can set up virtual barriers in the easy-to-use SharkClean app to help it navigate furniture and other obstacles.

Dyson 360 Vis Nav Robot Vacuum
* Average price in the past six months: £1039.67. Cheapest price in the past six months: £699

- Robot vacuum cleaner
- 0.5 litre dust capacity
We like: Very easy to use
We don't like: Not the quietest
The Dyson 360 Vis Nav Robot Vacuum doesn't come cheap, so it's great to see this one on offer.
It comes with a charging station, and is controlled with MyDyson app (note that you can't set it up without a wi-fi connection).
The dust container has a sliding button that makes it easy to empty. However, because the bottom of the dust container opens when you slide the button, the dirt drops out very rapidly and causes a cloud of fine dust. We'd recommend dropping any dirt, particularly fine dirt, into a deep bin to stop the dust cloud getting everywhere.

It's currently £699.99 direct from Dyson, or compare prices below:

How to spot a good deal on a vacuum cleaner
Andrew Laughlin, Which? vacuum cleaner expert, says:

With some vacuums almost perennially on 'special offer', it can be hard to know which deals are genuine money savers.
Stick to these golden rules to help get the best value with your next purchase.
1. Don't fall for features and accessories
Some models come with impressive-sounding features. Think Flexology (a flexible cleaning tube), or Lift-Away (a removable handheld unit), or Vax's QuickClean (also a removable unit).
While useful, some of these features aren't unique. You'll find similar features across many other brands, just with more conventional names.
Models in the same range (eg the Samsung Jet range) usually have the same core machine – the only difference is the accessories and supplied floor heads.
An entry-level model typically costs about £100 less than a premium model with all the accessories, so don't rush into buying a vacuum because of its features, as there could be cheaper options with the same capabilities.
2. Check the price of similar models
Many vacs have a basic package and a more expensive pet variant, which comes with a mini-tool for cleaning up after your furry friends.
In some circumstances, you'd be better off buying the basic model and the pet tool separately.
However, always check the prices of variants, as you might find the pet version on offer for less than the basic model.
3. Check out the latest price data
If a deal seems too good to be true, you can use price comparison sites such as PriceRunner and PriceSpy to check historical price data.
The data should reveal how regularly a vacuum goes on sale (if it's on 'special offer' for most of the year, the offer isn't all that special) and whether the 'before' price is accurate.
It's worth doing a quick Google search too, as not all retailers' price feeds are picked up by these sites.
4. Shop around
If you have your eyes set on a certain model but can't find a good deal, don't worry. There are plenty more fish in the sea – including cheaper options from alternative brands.
Take a look at our vacuum cleaner reviews and cordless vacuum cleaner reviews and filter by 'Great Value' to find the models that perform almost as well as a Best Buy, but cost a little less.
Also see our top recommendations of the best cordless vacuums and best corded vacuums to discover the top performers.
5. Recycle your old vacuum cleaner
Some retailers will offer to recycle your old vacuum cleaner, although they can sometimes charge a fee for doing so.
Our guide on how to recycle electrical items will help you asses your options.

- Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute – anything less than £449

- Dyson V7 Animal – anything less than £249
We've noticed that Dyson prices can rise in the months before big sales events such as Black Friday.
Shark vacuum deals
Based on historical data, we think these prices represent genuinely good savings on some of Shark's most popular models:
- Shark HZ3000UKT – anything under £249
- Shark IZ300UK – anything under £299
- Shark ICZ160UK – anything under £299
- Shark IZ201UK – anything under £249
- Shark NV702UK – anything under £189
- Shark NV602UK – anything under £169
- Shark HZ500UK – anything under £179
Also keep in mind that cordless Sharks are sold with one, two or sometimes even three batteries.
If you opt for a package with extra batteries, you can prolong your vacuum's running time and won't have to worry about buying a new battery if one eventually stops working.
You can buy spare batteries from the Shark website for around £70, so the deal only makes sense if the package is a similar price to the single-battery model.
If you live in a smaller property, you probably don't need extra batteries, as a single charge will last long enough to vacuum your home in one go. Any battery faults should be covered by the manufacturer's guarantee for the first two years.
Samsung, Miele, Vax and other vacuum deals
If you're looking to replace your old Samsung with a new model, don't forget to check the Samsung website for trade-in deals for your old appliance. They'll take your old vacuum, price it and then you'll be able to put the money towards a new model.
We've noticed that prices can rise in the months before big sales events such as Black Friday, Christmas sales or Cyber Monday, creating the illusion of huge savings on the day. Always check PriceRunner or PriceSpy to compare historical prices to find out of the model you're after is actually being sold at a low price.
