Mattresses from Ikea, Sealy and Silentnight rated

You can get a Best Buy mattress for under £400

The most expensive memory foam mattresses aren’t necessarily the best, according to the latest Which? test results.

Our test of memory foam mattresses from top brands such as Ikea, Sealy and Silentnight saw two mattresses earn Best Buy awards, and one of them came at a bargain price.

Find out the best and worst we’ve tested in our full memory foam mattress review.

More memory foam isn’t always better

All of the mattresses in our test contain memory foam, but some have a lot more than others. Mattresses such as Tempur’s Cloud 22 and Dreams’ Therapur Eden are pure memory foam, while others have a layer of memory foam on top of a spring core.

But the pure memory foam mattresses weren’t always better, and tended to be pricier.

If you’re not looking for a memory foam mattress, check out our review of the best mattress brands, based on our survey of thousands of Which? members.
