New Best Buy dishwashers revealed by Which?

AEG, Hotpoint and Zanussi models undergo our tests

Zanussi ZDI12010XA

Can the affordable Zanussi ZDI12010XA clean as well as pricey dishwashers?

We’ve reviewed and rated six new dishwashers from AEG, Hotpoint and Zanussi. Two did such a great job of getting dishes clean that we’ve named them Best Buys.

All six machines were put through our rigorous series of tests, to assess how well each cleans and dries, as well as which burn through energy and make a lot of noise.

The best dishwashers can tackle tough baked-on food and leave dishes sparkling, bone-dry and free of streaks and smears.

Cheap vs pricey dishwashers

We’ve tested dishwashers to suit every budget and our latest results include models at both ends of the scale. Costing £899, the AEG F99705Vi1P is a pricey high-capacity model with premium features which include a time remaining indicator, an indicator light that beams onto the floor, and a function that means it uses no energy once the cycle ends. Use our AEG dishwasher reviews to compare it to other models.

Both the Hotpoint FDAL11010P and Zanussi’s ZDI12010XA are affordable dishwashers, costing less than £250. Neither has an array of flashy features to match the AEG above, but our full reviews reveal whether a £220 dishwasher can clean just as well as a model that costs four times as much.
