Which? reveals four new Best Buy dishwashers

Did the new Hoover wi-fi dishwasher make the cut?

Hoover DYM762T WIFI dishwasher

Hoover claims its DYM762T WIFI is the UK’s first fully connected wi-fi dishwasher

New test results for seven dishwashers are in, with more than half doing such a good job of cleaning and drying that we’ve named them Best Buys.

Our latest tests include full-sized models to suit a variety of kitchens, whether you’re looking for a freestanding or integrated dishwasher.

Ensure that you don’t waste money on a dishwasher that does a terrible job of cleaning and drying or drives your utility bills sky-high. Head straight to our dishwasher reviews to see which models have aced our tests.

The new smart dishwasher

The Hoover DYM762T WIFI is a full-sized freestanding dishwasher with an unprecedented capacity for 16 place settings (160 items). Most full-sized models hold between 12 and 15 place settings – this is the highest capacity model we’ve come across. It also has twelve cleaning programs, and handy features that include a delay timer and time remaining indicator.

But what makes this dishwasher really different is its wi-fi connection. The machine connects to your internet router – you then connect to it via an app on your smartphone. The app helps you select the correct program for your load, set when the machine will start, check how much time is left until the cycle has ended and monitor the amount of energy used by the dishwasher.

Fancy smart technology is all well and good, but how well does this model do the basic jobs of getting dishes clean and dry? Find out in our Hoover DYM762T WIFI review.

Hoover claims this model is part of the UK’s first ‘fully connected kitchen’ – a full suite of Hoover wi-fi appliances which also includes a washing machine, oven and fridge.

Bosch and Zanussi dishwashers on test

If your head isn’t turned by smart technology, you may prefer one of the more traditional models we’ve tested.

The Bosch SMV87TD00G dishwasher is a pricey, but feature-laden integrated model with sensors that detect how full the machine is and how dirty the dishes are, adjusting the cleaning cycle to suit. Find out how this model, and others Bosch have done in our tests by perusing our Bosch dishwasher reviews.

Meanwhile, the more affordable freestanding Zanussi ZDT21002FA has a special, automatic, switch-off function that Zanussi claims will help keep your utility bills low. See how it compares to other Zanussi models using our Zanussi dishwasher reviews.
