Which? tests reveal new Best Buy fridge freezer

Bosch, John Lewis and Beko fridge freezers tested

Fridge filled with food

A great fridge freezer will chill fresh food quickly

The results are in for our latest round of fridge freezer tests. We’ve tested models from Beko, Bosch, John Lewis and more, but which model impressed us enough to earn the coveted Best Buy status?

Our most recent tests have uncovered some great fridge freezers that you can rely on to keep your food safely chilled and frozen. But only one of the nine models we tested is good enough to be a Which? Best Buy.

The best fridge freezers will cool fresh food quickly, maintain steady and safe temperatures and be kind to your energy bills. If you’re in the market for a new fridge freezer, read our fridge freezer reviews to find the best one for you and find out about those models that should be avoided.

Bosch fridge freezers tested

Our latest tests included three Bosch fridge freezers. All three models have special salad crisper drawers that claim to help your fresh veggies and fruit retain moisture and last a bit longer.

These fridge freezers also come with a fast-freeze function that Bosch says will give freezing power a temporary boost to help your fresh food freeze quickly, potentially locking in more nutrients.

Food that is frozen quickly is likely to be in a better condition when you come to defrost it.

Freestanding and built-in fridge freezers

The cheapest fridge freezer we’ve just tested is the Zanussi ZRB23200WA, which currently costs less than £300. That’s a really low price for a frost-free fridge freezer, but you should read our review to see if it is good enough at chilling and freezing to be a genuine bargain.

Our full reviews and test results for the following models are now online (typical prices as of 7 February 2014):
