Cheap fridge freezer is one of five new Which? Best Buys

New reviews of Bosch, Samsung and Beko fridge freezers

Our latest fridge freezer reviews include five so good we’ve named them Which? Best Buys. These include American and integrated models, plus a bargain Best Buy fridge freezer costing less than £350.

We’ve also uncovered a Best Buy American fridge freezer costing less than £400.

When you consider that the average price of the 13 Best Buy freestanding fridge freezers we uncovered in 2017 was £756, and the average price of the 11 Best Buy American models over the same time period was £1,015, now’s a great time to pick up a top-performing refrigeration appliance for less.

Compare our top five cheap fridge freezers.

Whether you want to bag a bargain, or splash out a little extra on a fridge freezer with added features, these models might take your fancy:

Hisense RIB291F4AW1 integrated fridge freezer – £327

You’ll be hard-pushed to find an integrated fridge freezer (one that is hidden behind your kitchen cupboard doors) for less than £300. That makes this Hisense one of the cheapest we’ve tested.

Not only does it have door alarms and a frost-free freezer, but it also has a bottle shelf and a super-cool setting, helping you to rapidly chill drinks.

Most of our Best Buy built-in fridge freezers cost a whole lot more. To find out how this one fares when it comes to keeping your food fresher for longer, read our review of the Hisense RIB291F4AW1.

Kenwood KSBS4DX17 American fridge freezer – £600

This Kenwood is one of two American fridge freezers from brands owned by Currys/PC World that we’ve reviewed. This is the more expensive of the two but includes an ice maker, which could be handy if you’re on target for a hot bank holiday weekend.

The other is the Logik LSBSDX17, which is £430 and contains more usable storage space than the Kenwood.

At the time of writing, Currys/PC World is selling this Kenwood for £50 off the marked price using the discount code LKA50 at checkout, which could be an added incentive. If you’re hitting Currys/PC World for an American fridge freezer this weekend, compare our reviews of the Kenwood KSBS4DX17 and the Logik LSBSDX17 to find out which of the two is a Best Buy.

Bosch KGN36IJ3AG customisable fridge freezer – £930

It’s far from cheap but, then again, it’s not often we come across a unique fridge freezer feature. This model is part of Bosch’s Vario Style range, meaning you can change the colour of the doors whenever you fancy.

It comes with chrome doors and one set of coloured doors as standard, and then additional coloured doors are sold for around £180 and can be easily fitted at home. There’s a wide array of colours, so you can have a different colour for every season, or change the colour when you upgrade your kitchen or move house.
