It has a generous 16 place settings, perfect for medium to large households, although we found loading cutlery was a little fiddly. 3. Amazing value from this American fridge freezer 68% £999 Best Buy
You could fit around 17 bags of shopping inside this American fridge freezer, which chills and freezes food well – even in the hot weather it maintains its cool. There’s a separate crisp drawer to keep fruit and vegetables fresh, and an ice and cold water dispenser. There are some ease-of-use niggles, but overall it’s great.

4. A roomy heat-pump tumble dryer 75% £389 Great Value, Eco Buy
Our experts picked this freestanding, heat-pump tumble dryer as a home bargain. We found it excellent at drying clothes and bedding, and you can choose from four different drying temperatures. The generous 9kg capacity means you won’t struggle for space. Although, clothes may not always be crease-free.

5. Bagless, corded vacuum for deep cleaning 78% £230 Best Buy
This corded vacuum does an excellent job at sucking up pet hairs, spills and dust – and because it’s bagless, you won’t have to spend money on replacement bags. The detachable handheld mode makes it easier to get into nooks and crannies too. We found it was excellent on carpet and floorboards, although mediocre on laminate flooring.

Get your hands on this single, electric oven, which heats up to 180°C in just seven minutes. The price is competitive, and it scores highly in our tests. We found it distributes heat nicely and it's spacious, although we can’t say it’s the most energy efficient oven we’ve tested.

7. Pod coffee machine for great-tasting lattes 78% £49 Best Buy, Great Value
This budget pod coffee maker outranks premium models in our tests. You could brew coffee in a little over a minute, which comes out hot with nicely balanced flavours and a light aroma. There are two settings to choose from too. However, if you’re looking for a bean-to-cup coffee machine, our experts recommend a fantastic machine.

8. Close to perfect cooking using this air fryer 77% £72 Best Buy
We tested how well this air fryer cooks chicken, chips, baguettes and cake – and found it does a stellar job. It’s rated five stars in all of our cooking tests, and it’s fast too. There are a few settings to choose from, although you’d have to hand wash the baskets.
