With a respectable customer score of 73% and some decent star ratings throughout the categories, Holiday Autos ticks most of the boxes. It even received five stars out of five for the clarity of its fuel policy.
Customers commented that the company’s booking and hire process was ‘simple’ and ‘straightforward’ – ideal for a hassle-free hire.
Customers told us they found its pricing very competitive too, especially compared with booking directly through a provider.
But Holiday Autos falls short on its customer service. It scored an average three out of five stars in this category once again this year, as rated by our survey respondents.
Customers highlighted a couple of issues. One said: ‘Some problems in getting in contact after the hire’. Another explained that they felt passed back and forth between broker and car hire company when trying to lodge a complaint. They said: ‘No one was prepared to help us and we were going round in circles trying to get help.’
While Holiday Autos gets OK ratings, Which? Recommended Provider Zest Car Rental is a better bet. One customer said: ‘I've recently booked with Zest, and the clarity of the booking process with easy access to customer support is staggeringly superior to Holiday Autos.’
