Best Black Friday iPad and tablet deals for 2025

We check top retailers to find the best deals on tablets and iPads. We only include offers on tablets that do well in our lab tests, so if a tablet doesn't meet a decent standard, you won't find it on this list – even if it's been heavily reduced.

* References to ‘Average price' and 'Cheapest price' are based on Which? market knowledge and information supplied by our partners. The price is checked for the six calendar months prior to publication. Not all retailers are included in our checks.

Our pick: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9

Average price in the past six months: £802
Cheapest price in the past six months: £403*

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9
  • 11-inch screen
  • 1,600 x 2,560-pixel resolution
  • Runs the Android operating system

We like: Strong cameras

We didn't like: Videos can judder, based on our lab tests

This 11-inch tablet from Samsung was £899 at launch. It has an eight-core processor with a maximum speed of 3.36GHz, which is seriously powerful. This is backed up with 8GB of Ram – standard for a tablet at this price.

The model we tested has a 128GB drive, which drops to 99GB when you factor in the operating system and built-in apps, but this model is the more expensive 256GB option. You can add extra storage with a micro-SD card, too.

Best Black Friday iPad deals

Thinking of buying an iPad? While you might see small discounts on other sites, our expert analysis shows there are no genuine deals available right now. We're serious about your money: we only recommend real discounts. This is how we ensure you're getting real value, not just fake savings.

iPad Mini 2024

Average price in the past six months: £486.61
Cheapest price in the past six months: £428.97*

Apple iPad Mini (2024)

The cheapest price we could find for the iPad Mini 2024 was at Laptops Direct for just £429, but double-check this against other retailers, below:

  • 8.3-inch screen
  • 1,488 x 2,266-pixel resolution
  • Works with Apple Pencil

We like: Unbeatable portability

We didn't like: The speakers could be better

As the smallest tablet in Apple's range with an 8.3-inch display, the iPad Mini is designed for those who would prefer to have a more compact tablet that's easy to carry on the go.

Even though it is a smaller device, the iPad Mini still packs the core iPadOS experience which, thanks to the most recent iPadOS 26 update, now features windowed app multitasking.

Budding artists will be pleased to know that the iPad Mini is compatible with the Apple Pencil, although the stylus could just as easily be used for taking down some handwritten notes in a meeting or lecture.

Best Black Friday Samsung Galaxy tablet deals

Samsung is the most popular Android tablet manufacturer. It makes tablets that can compete with high-end iPads, but also has cheaper options if you don't need anything too powerful.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

Average price in the past six months: £1,097
Cheapest price in the past six months: £799*

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

The best offer we've found for Samsung's high-end tablet comes from John Lewis, which is now selling the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra for just £799. This is a massive £400 off its original launch price.

  • 14.6-inch screen
  • 12GB Ram
  • 256GB of storage

We like: Huge and bright display

We don't like: Expensive, even on a deal - so consider whether you really need all this power

This is the highest-powered, largest, and most expensive Android tablet from Samsung's range. The screen has a luxurious number of pixels (2960 x 1848 resolution),  a top-of-the-range MediaTek chip, alongside a generous 12GB Ram. It's a tablet made for more than just web browsing and video watching activities - it's for creative work, like video editing and complex image design.

If you're not sure whether the already substantial 256GB of storage is enough, you can expand it later with a micro-SD card. It comes with a USB-C charging cable – you don't get a plug.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9

Average price in the past six months: £102.99
Cheapest price in the past six months: £102.99*

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
  • 8.7-inch screen
  • 8MP rear-facing camera
  • 5100mAh battery

We like: Intuitive and easy to use

We don't like: The speakers are far from the best

If all you need is a no-frills tablet that's designed to provide a larger screen experience than your phone when it comes to surfing the web, checking your emails or even streaming a bit of Netflix, then the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has been made with you in mind.

The 8.7-inch display is large enough to allow apps to spread out but not so huge as to affect the overall portability of the tablet, which only weighs about 332g.

There's a front-facing 2MP camera for selfies and Zoom calls, alongside a rear-facing 8MP sensor that can be used in a pinch to scan documents when needed. Regardless of which storage model you get, there's a MicroSD card slot that allows you to expand that ceiling and to keep your most precious files stored locally.

Best Black Friday Android tablet deals

Google's tablet runs on the Android operating system, as do many Chinese brands' tablets. Honor, Lenovo and Xiaomi are all popular, offering several high-spec tablets for less than you might expect.

Honor Pad X8a

Average price in the past six months: £121.75
Cheapest price in the past six months: £108*

Honor Pad X8a

You can buy the Honor Pad X8a for just £120.33 from Amazon - it's a good value buy for the basics. Compare with other retailer prices, below:

  • 11-inch screen
  • 8300mAh battery
  • Stereo speakers

We like: It does the basics well

We didn't like: The screen could be brighter

Even though it's a tablet that's very much designed with the budget market in mind, the Honor Pad X8a still shows just how far that sector has come as it offers up a large 11-inch LCD panel for not that much money.

With a 90Hz refresh rate, the tablet is capable of providing a smooth feeling of motion as you scroll through apps or play less taxing games on the go.

The inclusion of four speakers to create a stereo sound effect is helpful if you're watching some entertainment at home and you don't have a pair of earbuds or headphones to hand.

Read our full Honor Pad 8Xa review to see how the tablet compares against similar budget buys.

Lenovo Tab Plus

Average price in the past six months: £222.32
Cheapest price in the past six months: £139.01*

Lenovo Tab Plus tablet

While the Lenovo Tab Plus is now discounted in most retailers Black Friday tablet deals, the best deal we've found is at Currys for £179.

  • 11.4-inch screen
  • 8GB of Ram
  • 128GB of storage

We like: Easy to use

We didn't like: It's bulky

The Lenovo Tab Plus is advertised as a premium entertainment tablet that you can buy for a reasonable price. It's an Android tablet that has an 11.4-inch 2K display and a built-in kickstand - use this to prop it up, sit back, and enjoy what's onscreen.

It runs on a Helio G99 processor with 8GB of Ram, and it comes in two storage options: 128GB or 256GB. The screen can transform to look like a picture frame when you put it in Standby mode – a nice perk to have when it’s charging at home.

Find out more about this tablet in our Lenovo Tab Plus review.

Honor MagicPad 2

Average price in the past six months: £481
Cheapest price in the past six months: £359*

Honor Magicpad 2 tablet

  • 12.3-inch screen
  • 16GB of Ram
  • 256GB of storage

We like: Great specs for the price

We didn't like: Slow charging speed, based on our tests

This is a mid-range tablet from Honor. It’s a larger model, with a 12.3-inch 1,920 x 3,000-pixel screen. It comes with Honor’s Android-based MagicOS 8.0 operating system (OS), and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

You can boost your productivity by purchasing an additional Smart Bluetooth Keyboard case and a Magic-Pencil 3 stylus. This tablet lacks a micro-SD card slot, so there is no way to add further storage if you run out of space - though 256GB will be plenty for most.

Find out if it offers good features and performance in our full Honor MagicPad 2 review.

More good Black Friday tablet deals from Honor

  • The 12.1-inch Honor Pad 10 (with a keyboard attachment) has dropped to £240 on Honor's own website thanks to a limited-time Black Friday offer. It's better suited for everyday tasks, rather than demanding apps. Find out more in our Honor Pad 10 review.

Microsoft Surface Pro 12-inch 2025

Average price in the past six months: £799
Cheapest price in the past six months: £732*

Microsoft Surface Pro 12-inch
  • 12-inch screen
  • 16GB of Ram
  • 256GB of storage

We like: Slimmer and lighter design

We didn't like: Keyboard is a costly extra

Designed for people who need the power of a Windows laptop, but want the most portable form possible, the Surface Pro 12-inch is a premium tablet that can be used as a laptop if you buy the Type Cover keyboard separately (£150-£250, depending on the stylus option).

At just 685g, it is far lighter than many a laptop. Undoubtedly, Windows is best used with a keyboard and mouse, but the operating system offers much more power and flexibility than Android tablets, regardless of the mode you use it in. It runs on a processor found in laptops – the Snapdragon X Plus – and comes with 16GB of Ram, so it should have plenty of oomph to keep you productive while travelling light.

This tablet was only launched in May this year and its discount is a decent amount for such a new model.

Find out whether it stumbles or excels in our Microsoft Surface Pro 12-inch review.

Xiaomi Pad 7

Cheapest price in the past six months: £239*

Xiaomi Pad 7

Amazon is now selling the Xiaomi Pad 7 for just £239. The deal is even better than it first appears as the 'before price' is incorrect and should be listed as £369, so you are saving a total of £130.

  • 11.2-inch screen
  • 8GB Ram
  • 128GB storage

We like: Quick to charge

We didn't like: Can feel heavy to hold (506g)

Between its regular line-up and the brand's more affordable Redmi range of tablets, the Pad 7 is best understood as Xiaomi's main competitor to the iPad 11. Though its standard price tag of £279 slightly undercuts Apple's.

Xiaomi's Pad 7 gives you a large 11.2-inch 2,136 x 3,200 pixel screen with very slim bezels around it. The onboard speakers are designed to create a cinematic experience when streaming content.

It's quick to charge (45W fast charging). It's also has a sizeable 8850mAh battery cell that's meant to last a decent amount of time between charges.

See how the tablet fared and whether its battery claims ring true in our Xiaomi Pad 7 review.

More good Black Friday tablet deals from Xiaomi

  • The more affordable Redmi Pad 2 features an 11-inch display, a MicroSD card slot and a massive 9000mAh battery. Originally retailing at £169, new users can get a 20% discount over at Xiaomi's official store.

How to spot a good deal on an iPad or tablet

Adam Speight

Adam Speight, Which? tablets expert, says:

  • iPads are rarely on offer, so any discount you spot is likely to be a good one. To double-check, the Apple store will show the iPad at the standard retail price so you can see if the deal is worthwhile.
  • Look out for 'deals' that actually add a load of extra stuff you may not need, such as app subscriptions, styluses and cases. Odds are, if it's a 'starter pack offer' aiming to keep the price as close to the RRP as possible, another retailer will have it with a true discount and without all those unnecessary extras.
  • Don't worry about buying an older tablet. Models released in 2022 or 2023 are still worth a look, but check the free tool in our guide to which tablets and iPads stay secure the longest to make sure you'll still get plenty of updates in years to come.

Where’s the best place to buy a tablet?

We've selected good deals on decent tablets that are currently on offer. If none of these are right for you, don't worry – there will be ample opportunity to find a great tablet deal.

Finding an iPad deal

The Apple website provides a good baseline of how much an iPad costs, because Apple never discounts new models there. Knowing the true full price will make it easier to work out whether you're getting a decent discount on other sites. Click to go to the Apple iPad website.

When shopping around for deals and looking at sale prices, be aware that there are multiple generations of iPads on sale at the same time, so make sure you know which one you're buying. Our best iPads guide will help you out.

There’s nothing wrong with buying an older-generation iPad – it’s a great way to save money. But make sure you’re comparing like with like, rather than a newer, more expensive model with an older, cheaper one.

Refurbished models

Another way to keep costs down is to consider a refurbished tablet. Apple never has deals on new tablets, but there's a section on its official site for refurbished iPads that come with a one-year warranty. What’s available varies from one model to the next, but you should be able to save at least 20% on a refurbished tablet over a new one.

Student tablet deals

If you’re a student, you might qualify for an Apple student discount, which will get you money off iPads and other Apple products.

Finding a Microsoft Surface tablet deal

It’s sensible to start your search for a Surface tablet on the Microsoft Store website

This is the place to find the true price of the model and specification you’re after – and you may even find a discount while you’re there. It might be a simple discount on a specification, or it could be a discounted or free accessory when you buy a tablet at full price.

If that doesn't work, you’ll likely find a discount from various retailers. Make sure you check all the specifications and colour options, as discounts might apply to only one or two of these at any one time.

Finding an Amazon Fire tablet deal

Amazon Fire tablets are competitively priced to start with, but deals do come along fairly regularly. You'll often find the best prices on the Amazon Fire site, and you can sometimes find decent discounts at Argos and Currys, among others.

If there's nothing available on the day you search, you probably won't have to wait long for a discount to materialise. So, if you don’t need to buy now, it could pay to wait until a deal comes up.

Tablets and security support

Before you buy, bear in mind that not all manufacturers are equal when it comes to security updates. We've found that some support their tablets for only two to three years.

Our free, quick tablet security tool enables you to check how long a tablet will continue to receive security updates. It also provides important advice on how to stay safe when using your tablet.
