Anna McClean, Which? market analyst, says: 'We analysed thousands of mortgages, using Moneyfacts data, over three months in the summer/autumn of 2026. We created 28 mortgage scenarios, based on typical loan amounts, term lengths and mortgage products, to reveal the lenders that consistently offer the best deals. Ranking first means the provider offered, on average, the cheapest mortgage deals during our analysis period. NatWest was one of the most competitive lenders overall, and did well when it came to first-time buyer deals.'

What types of mortgage does NatWest offer?
When we checked in September 2026, there were 264 mortgages available from NatWest. Most were fixed-rate deals, meaning your interest rate stays the same for a set initial period.
NatWest mortgages had initial periods of two or five years.
A smaller number of NatWest mortgages were tracker deals, with initial terms lasting two years before reverting to the NatWest standard variable rate.
How much could I borrow from NatWest?
NatWest doesn't publish its borrowing caps, but you can use its affordability calculator to check the size of a mortgage you qualify for.
Does NatWest offer green mortgages?
NatWest offers a selection of green mortgages with discounted rates and cashback for homes with an EPC rating of A or B. The maximum LTV for its green mortgages is 85%.
