As well as sending kitchens to our lab for testing, we've also surveyed thousands of kitchen company customers to help you choose between top-name brands, including Ikea, Wickes and B&Q.
We combine both of these elements into an overall score to help you determine which brand of kitchen is right for you and your home. Which? members can now reveal how Ikea compares with rivals in the graphic below.
The brand with the highest-scoring unit exceeded the lowest score by more than 20 percentage points. This score takes into account our lab assessments, and durability and customer service ratings from customers, as well as their overall levels of satisfaction.
Ikea kitchen units
Alongside our survey, we also assessed kitchen units in lab conditions to see whether they're worthy of a Best Buy logo.
When these were combined with ratings from our survey, brands need to score more than 70% overall to be in with the chance of a Best Buy award.
To find out more about exactly how we assessed kitchen units in our lab, and the other areas the Metod units did well in, see our page on how we test kitchen units.
Ikea customer satisfaction survey results
In our survey, we asked people how satisfied they are with the brand and whether they would recommend it to a friend. We then combine these to create an overall customer score.
We also asked customers to rate specific elements, including value for money and durability, on a seven-point scale from very poor to excellent.
Ikea kitchen doors, worktops and drawers
We also asked people to rate the durability of different components of the kitchen they bought, as well as quality of worktops and doors.
Ikea kitchens installation
This year, for the first time, we were able to rate Ikea's installation service as enough of the people we spoke to used its service.
Also, when we sent the kitchens to the lab, they all had to be installed. If they were flat-pack, like with Ikea's units, they also had to be built.
Ikea kitchens customer comments
As well as rating the brands, we asked customers to give us more details about their experiences.
