Our lab scores for all the kitchens we tested ranged from 89% to just 54%.

How well do Symphony kitchens last?
As well as asking Symphony customers to rate their kitchens, we also asked them to share whether their kitchen showed any signs of damage or wear and tear.
We only asked people who reported buying their kitchen between 2015 and 2021, to get a sense of how they hold up in the long term.

Symphony kitchen costs

To find out how much you can expect to spend on a kitchen, we set up mystery shopping appointments to get prices for all the kitchens that we test.
Unfortunately, as Symphony sells through independent retailers, we were unable to book a design appointment with the brand.
We do have prices for other brands, including Ikea, Magnet and DIY Kitchens – check out their brand review pages for more information.

Symphony kitchen design service
As Symphony sells through a network of independent retailers, your ability to access a design appointment will differ depending on the store you use.
However, we still asked Symphony customers to rate their experience with their retailer's design service, so that you can get a sense of the services on offer.
A total of 35 Symphony customers reported using their retailer's design service.
We asked them to rate their experience and tell us whether they have any issues with their kitchen as a result of poor planning.

Symphony kitchen installation
There are three ways to install your Symphony kitchen: doing it yourself, using your retailer's fitting service, or finding your own fitter.
Fitting a Symphony kitchen yourself
All of Symphony's kitchen units are delivered assembled.
We tried installing both kitchens to assess the ease of the process.

Does Symphony install kitchens?
Not directly. However, your Symphony retailer may offer its own service.
Unfortunately, only 21 of the Symphony customers we surveyed reported using their retailer's installation service. As we require a minimum of 30 responses to rate any aspect of a brand's service, we were unable to provide a rating in this area.
If you don't want to use the retailer's service, you can hire your own installer. Use our free Which? Trusted Traders service to find a reliable fitter near you.
Symphony kitchen installation costs
To find out how much the average kitchen installation costs in 2025, we consulted the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) database. They told us that the total cost of labour should be 20-30% of your total spend.
For a full breakdown of kitchen costs, including installation, labour and individual elements such as kitchen islands and worktops, read our guide to how much a new kitchen costs in 2025.
We recommend that you always get at least three quotes from different traders before you start any job, and get a fixed price contract if possible (this means the prices can not go up except in pre-agreed circumstances).
