Howdens says it believes in good craftsmanship above all things and sells only to tradespeople as they have the expertise to install its kitchens well.
You can get design and planning advice from Howdens but will need to find an installer to buy and fit your kitchen.
There are more than 75 kitchen designs to choose from, including handleless and shaker styles in a range of colours.
There are more than 700 depots nationwide and Howdens says that all of its kitchens are designed and made in the UK at its factories in Cheshire and East Yorkshire.
To help you decide if a Howdens kitchen is right for your home, we assessed its three kitchen ranges in our lab and asked more than 3,000 Which? members about their kitchens, including those from Howdens.
We assessed three units from Howdens, including flat-pack Technik and pre-assembled Handleless and Rigid ranges. If you buy from Howdens, your kitchen will be built around one of these base units – it's the doors, worktops, and finishes that make your kitchen unique.

As Howdens Joinery only sells directly to kitchen installers, it doesn't have an in-house kitchen installation service that we can rate in our survey.
There's a free personal design service online to help plan your kitchen. This lets you consult a designer for expert advice on planning, layout and style.
You can have an consultation via video chat or at a Howdens depot if you're comfortable going in-store. Howdens' designers can also carry out at-home assessments during which they will measure your kitchen.
Wherever your design consultation is, you'll get a 3D plan of your kitchen so you can visualise it.
As Howdens Joinery is a trade kitchen supplier and doesn't recommend installers, you'll need to find one yourself, although Howdens Joinery can guide you through the process.
Howdens sells large kitchen appliances from Lamona (exclusive to Howdens Joinery). Howdens Joinery doesn't supply wall tiles but does have a flooring range.
