B&Q kitchens review

B&Q sells a wide range of traditional, contemporary and shaker kitchens under its GoodHome brand.
To find out whether they're durable and represent good value for money, we've assessed two of B&Q's kitchen ranges.
We put the GoodHome Caraway and GoodHome Caraway Innovo – both flatpack kitchens – through our rigorous lab tests. The Innovo range was created specifically for handleless kitchen cabinets.
We've also surveyed Which? members and members of the general public who own a B&Q kitchen to discover how happy they are with their purchase. Read on to discover the results.

B&Q kitchen costs
To find out how much you can expect to spend on a B&Q kitchen, we set up mystery shopping appointments to source prices for all the kitchens we test.
We started by finding the mid-priced kitchen range for each carcass we test, then attended design appointments with every brand, posing as a customer looking to buy a new kitchen.
We asked brands to provide us with prices for the selected ranges in a 12-unit kitchen, without any additional accessories (eg worktop, sink, taps or appliances).
Kitchen | Range | Price | Discount applied |
---|---|---|---|
GoodHome Caraway | Artemisia Matt White | £4,799 | 0% |
GoodHome Caraway Innovo | Stevia Matt Sandstone | £4,154 | 0% |
Table notes: These prices include 12 kitchen units, plus handles, cornices, plinths, pelmets and end panels. Prices include VAT and sales discounts. Prices were collected in May 2025, and are subject to change.
We were quoted between £4,154 and £4,799 for the B&Q kitchen we designed.
Please note that this estimate is based on one design appointment and serves as an indication of the potential cost, rather than a final price.

B&Q kitchen design service
B&Q offers free design appointments either in person or online. They can also send out a team of technicians to measure your kitchen if you're not able to, which costs £50 (refundable if you go on to buy a B&Q kitchen). You can book these appointments through the B&Q website.

We asked them to rate their experience and tell us whether they have any issues with their kitchen as a result of poor planning.

B&Q kitchen installation
There are three ways to install your B&Q kitchen: doing it yourself, using the B&Q fitting service, or finding your own fitter.
Fitting a B&Q kitchen yourself
Both of B&Q’s units come flatpacked. Our labs tried installing both kitchens to assess the ease of the process.

Does B&Q install kitchens?
Yes. B&Q has an optional fitting service, where the entire process is managed and carried out by B&Q fitters, at an extra cost.
A total of 125 B&Q customers reported using the brand's installation service.
We asked them to rate their experience, including whether or not they had any issues.

If you don't want to use the B&Q service, you can hire your own installer. Use our free Which? Trusted Traders service to find a reliable kitchen fitter.
How much does it cost to fit a B&Q kitchen?
To find out how much the average kitchen installation costs in 2025, we consulted the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS) database. The total cost of labour should be 20-30% of your total spend.
For a full breakdown of kitchen costs, including installation, labour and individual elements such as kitchen islands and worktops, read our guide to how much a new kitchen costs in 2025.
We recommend that you always get at least three quotes from different traders before you start any job, and get a fixed price contract if possible (this means the prices can not go up except in pre-agreed circumstances).
