LG OLED65C14LB - was £2,499, now £1,696 (32% off according to AO.com)

We like: Rich and lifelike colours, nicely balanced sound, high level of detail
We don't like: Some judder during 4K scenes

This is the furthest we've seen this OLED TV's price slashed so far.

It's one of the largest-screen TVs from one of LG's most high-end 2021 ranges. The level of detail is staggering and the colours pack a real punch.

We like: Astonishingly crisp picture, rich and detailed sound
We don't like: The smart home screen and settings menu can be confusing

Another model from LG's 2021 OLED range, this TV is at the top end in terms of price, so a £700 saving is welcome if you're thinking of buying one.

It's designed to be wall mounted and it comes with a mount included, but you can buy a table stand separately. The 4K footage is close to flawless and it has wonderfully vivid and lifelike colours.

Samsung HW-A550 - was £299, now £199 (33% off according to AO.com)

Samsung HW-A550 sound bar

We like: Good sound quality, easy to set up and use
We don't like: No support for Dolby Atmos

Some of Samsung's sound bars can cost up to £1,000 or more, so this discount means an already low-priced sound bar just got even cheaper.

It is best suited to larger TVs above 43, and although it's not the bassiest sound bar, dialogue and special effects sound clear and impressive.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 headphones

We like: Good sound quality, effective noise cancellation, well built
We don't like: Not great for phone calls

Sennheiser's wireless earbuds are usually at the pricey end of the market, but this hefty discount helps take the sting out of the price. You can, however currently find them for £4 cheaper at Richer Sounds.

The hard case will charge the headphones when you store them away, and our panel of experts described the audio as well-balanced, lively, energetic and entertaining.

AO.com Black Friday kitchen appliances deals

Swan Nordic One Touch SK22150GRYN - was £149, now £120

Swan Nordic One Touch SK22150GRYN

We like: Simple to use, quiet, excellent coffee
We don't like: Frothed milk isn't always consistent

This classy coffee machine from Swan puts simplicity first, with just three buttons on the control panel, a dial on the milk tank for frothing, and a large temperature display in the centre.

It was already reasonably cheap compared to some of the other coffee machines we've tested, but now it's even cheaper, and it makes tasty espressos and excellent creamy cappuccinos.

AO has taken £50 off one of Dyson's flagship cordless vacuums.

The Cyclone V10 Animal is versatile and easy to use, although we wish it had a slightly longer battery life.

It usually costs at least £349, so this is a good opportunity to snap up a Dyson at a discount price.

AO.com Black Friday shopping tips

Along with several other UK retailers, AO.com has launched its Black Friday deals with 'early bird' sales. Although the temptation is there to get ahead of the curve and buy things early, you should ensure you're getting the very best prices you possibly can.

Know how to spot a good deal

This month the retailers are all battling with each other to grab your attention and pull you towards their deals, so several places will claim to have the best offers available. The important thing to remember is that just because there's a big discount on something doesn't mean it's at its lowest-ever price.

Which? research has found that Black Friday prices are often not as good as they might appear.

There are a few handy price-tracking websites that will show you whether the product you're looking at has been on sale for cheaper than it currently is. PriceSpy covers several retailers, including AO.com. CamelCamelCamel is another handy tool for tracking price histories on Amazon, and PriceHistory.co.uk is for tracking discounts at Argos.

How to return AO.com products

If a product you've bought from AO.com during Black Friday sales turns out to be damaged or faulty, the retailer takes full responsibility.

The Consumer Rights Acts says that the product you've bought needs to be as described, fit for purpose and of a satisfactory quality. If these requirements aren't met, the retailer is at fault.

Even if there's no damage or faults, you can still return your products to AO.com. It has a 100-day free return policy and offers you a full refund if the product is unused. If it's used, AO.com will refund up to 50% of the item's cost. Items can be collected from your home or dropped off at one of AO.com's Drop at Shop, CollectPlus or DPD drop-off points. Head to the AO.com returns page for more information.

How to recycle your old tech and appliances

If you're replacing an old TV, washing machine or other household staple, make sure they're disposed of properly and don't end up contributing to environmental waste.

Depending on the product type and the condition it's in, you could donate it, sell it on or drop it off for recycling.
