Having a child can be expensive, but knowing where to find the best deals on baby products can make a real difference to your baby-budget worries. Our guide can help.

Put us to the test

Our Test Labs compare features and prices on a range of products. Try Which? to unlock our reviews. You'll instantly be able to compare our test scores, so you can make sure you don't get stuck with a Don't Buy.

Having a baby is an exciting time, but money worries may creep in. We're here to help parents, grandparents and carers to save money when buying those baby essentials. Check out the raft of special offers and discounts we've found on pushchairs, child car seats, baby monitors and more.

We've scoured the deals on offer this month to find the lowest prices on Which? Best Buy products, or products that are only a few percentage points off being Best Buys. This means they've aced our rigorous lab tests for both safety and usability.

However, it's advisable to read the full review before you buy, to make sure it's the best product for you – just follow the link in the model name to find out more about each item.

Best baby car seat deals

As a car seat is such an essential safety product for babies and children, we don't advise buying one online without seeing it first.

It’s important to be able to examine a car seat in person, where you also have the opportunity to ask questions about how best to use it, as well as have it expertly installed by someone who is specially trained.

Some retailers will let you buy online and pick it up in store, which means you can still get it fitted into your car when you go to the shop to collect it.

Although a car seat can seem like an expensive purchase, when you consider how many uses you will get out of it, some seats actually cost around 20p a day when you factor in four years of use.

We’d recommend checking our reviews to find out how a car seat copes in our crash tests before you spend any money.

Our crash tests include a front and side-impact crash, and we combine the results from these two tests with expert assessments based on how easy the seat is to install, and how well it will support your baby or child.

We also look at how much of a risk there is of misuse. An incorrectly fitted car seat, could potentially affect the protection it will provide in a crash. We've seen car seats which, despite being approved by the current testing standards, fail Which? crash tests – these Don't Buy car seats should be avoided at all costs.

See our car-seat shopping checklist to help you avoid common mistakes and make sure you get the right seat for your needs.

Best deals on baby monitors

There's no point buying a baby monitor if it doesn't cover the whole range of your house and garden, and poor sound or picture quality can be a nightmare on mediocre models. Our baby monitor reviews separate the best from the rest.

If you’re thinking about buying a smart baby monitor that connects to your wi-fi, it’s important to bear in mind how secure it is.

For wi-fi baby monitors we test for any security vulnerabilities you may need to know about, such as unsecured data or weak password requirements, and whether any data could be intercepted.

For monitors that have wi-fi, video or audio capabilities, we also check sound and picture quality, as well as range and signal strength.
