How good is Sky's mobile coverage?

Sky Mobile is a virtual provider, which means it doesn't have its own phone network. Instead, it uses another providers' infrastructure – in this case O2's. Sky Mobile customers can access 2G, 3G and 4G coverage on the O2 network.

To check coverage where you live, use our free interactive coverage map. Simply enter your postcode into the map and it will tell you how good O2's signal is in your area, as well as comparing it with the other providers.

Sky Mobile deals and incentives

Sky Mobile offers various data allowances starting at £6 for 1GB. Alternatively, customers can pay for calls and texts on a pay-as-you-go basis, so its plans are more cost-effective for customers when bundled with Sky’s TV service.

If you have Sky+ you also get Sky Go Extra (a feature that lets you download and watch content on other devices) free of charge.

Sky Mobile stores

Sky Mobile is an online provider and doesn't have its own shops. If you need any help or advice then you need to get this via the Sky website or by calling Sky customer services on 0330 041 2639.

Complaints about Sky Mobile

Telecoms regulator Ofcom regularly publishes information on the number of complaints it gets about the main mobile providers.

In its latest report, covering the first quarter of 2019 (January to March), Sky Mobile generated a lower than average rate of complaints (three per 100,000 customers). In comparison, Vodafone and Virgin Mobile generated six complaints per 100,000 customers.
