Talkmobile uses Vodafone’s network. Talkmobile is a 'virtual' provider, which means it uses another provider's infrastructure – in this case Vodafone’s. It offers 3G and 4G coverage. It will be introducing 5G coverage at some point in 2022.
You can check coverage where you live by using our free interactive . Simply enter your postcode into the map and it will tell you how good Vodafone's signal is in your area, as well as comparing it with the other providers.
Talkmobile has a straightforward offering of 30 day rolling plan or 12 month contract Sim-only deals. There are no handsets or more complex contracts available. Plans start from £5 a month for 1GB of data, unlimited calls and texts.
With an emphasis on offering data as cheap as possible, Talkmobile doesn’t offer anything in terms of rewards, incentives or complicated contracts. They will provide data, calls and texts cheaply and generally efficiently, but little else. This could be ideal if you don’t tend to use your phone often.
Talkmobile does not have any physical stores, aiming to offer the cheapest possible deals by cutting back on extra services and costs. It claims the majority of customers prefer to manage their account and resolve any issues online, but does offer contact with a help team by phone or Webchat.
