Dean Sobers, Which? travel insurance expert, says:

Its highest-scoring policy, Black, earned a policy score of 67%, placing it among the top 40% of policies we analysed.
If you've planned the (expensive) trip of a lifetime, this policy could appeal, given its particularly high cancellation limit of £10,000.
We were also impressed with its high cover limits for baggage (£3,000) and valuables (£600). However, it's not perfect. It doesn't contain cover for delayed baggage, for example. And it excludes claims relating to war, terrorism or civil unrest.
InsureandGo's Black policy is one of the few we rated that doesn't apply excesses to your claims, meaning if the claim is accepted, you'll be paid in full.
Among policies applying excesses, the average for a medical or cancellation claim is around £85.
InsureandGo's Gold policy was also rated a Best Buy and has a policy score of 65%, joining Black in the top 40% of policies reviewed.
The Silver policy, with a policy score of 60%, was just below average (62%). Along with some differences in cover levels, there are also slight differences in the excesses you'd pay on the Gold and Silver policies (£50 and £60, respectively).
The Budget policy has higher excesses and lacks certain features found in other InsureandGo policies, such as missed-departure cover. Its score of 53% placed it in the bottom 20% of policies we assessed.
With annual policies, Black will cover trips lasting up to 56 days. For Silver and Gold, the limit is 45 days. With Budget, it's 31 days.
Single-trip policies can cover up to a year's travel.
InsureandGo is a listed medical specialist insurer, meaning it's worth trying if you have trouble getting cover for a reasonable price because of your medical history.
You'll need to declare your conditions to ensure they're covered. InsureandGo works with Verisk, a medical screening company, to evaluate your medical risk.
Be warned: while InsureandGo is a specialist for those with medical conditions, its Budget policy doesn't cover these at all. So if you want your conditions covered, this particular policy won't be suitable.

InsureandGo uses a company handling firm called Gallagher Bassett to handle its claims.
The latest published data from the Financial Conduct Authority, current to 2024, shows that InsureandGo accepted 85-90% of claims made on European annual policies that year, in line with the average of 86.3%.
Meanwhile, it accepted 80-85% of claims made on annual worldwide and single-trip policies. These figures put it in line with the average for worldwide cover (84.5%) and above the average for single-trip cover (80%).
InsureandGo's claims number is +44 (0)141 343 1350.
You can also claim online.
Insurers will usually expect you to try recouping lost costs (such as deposits) elsewhere before claiming with them – for example, checking with the travel provider if you're entitled to a refund or can move a cancelled trip. However, you can still call the insurer to let it know if there's a chance you'll need to claim.
You'll need to provide your policy number when you call.
InsureandGo's Black policy was a Best Buy, with a score of 67%. Just ahead, with 68%, was AllClear's Gold Plus policy, Admiral's Gold policy, Flexicover's Diamond policy, Insurancewith's Platinum policy, Just Travel Cover – Infinity's Gold policy, RBS' Black packaged account, Staysure's Signature policy, and Travel Insurance Saver's Silver policy.
Behind it in our tables was Columbus Direct's Gold policy, Co-op Insurance's Gold policy (a Best Buy); Just Travel Cover – Fit 4 Travel's Gold policy; Leisure Guard's Bronze policy; Post Office's Premier Policy; Saga's Essential – Single Trip policy; and Travel Insurance Saver's Backpacker Silver policy. These all scored 66%.
Yes. With two Best Buy options, InsurandGo is well worth checking out, particularly if you've been struggling to cover pre-existing medical conditions with other insurers.
